After many years of travelling the world and working with thousands of students, Nelly has developed the Holistic Pilates method and is now sharing her expertise with Pilates teachers and movement professionals who wish to expand their knowledge and teach with confidence.

About

Nelly Lewis

Nelly first came to Pilates through her dance and mime training. Drawn to the discipline, mindfulness of the movement, and emphasis on the breath, she made Pilates her main focus in 2007. After experiencing three back injuries, some occurring before her practice and some after she had already begun teaching, she developed a specialisation in back pain recovery and rehabilitation. Nelly believes Pilates can help alleviate many aches and pains, and her teaching also includes strategies for managing persistent discomfort. Learning how to relax in our bodies is a key element of her approach.

I offer weekly in-person classes across Brighton and Hove, Woodingdean, Patcham, Portslade, and more!

When you study with me, you’ll gain the skills and confidence to thrive as an independent instructor. Upon successful certification, if you’re looking for work, I’d be delighted to offer you a teaching opportunity with Holistic Pilates-wherever you're based!
